There is a game we play being in constant conflict within, that of attack or defense, either which way we loose. Attack based on fear eventually leads to separation and guilt. Defense of error instead of truth also leads to separation and eventual guilt, either or, the cycle continues. It may seem that they have positive attributes in this dog eat dog world but in what we perceive as reality this perpetual cycle has none. There is only a singular outcome, like a blade to skin, blood will flow. "The world gives rise but to defensiveness. For threat brings anger, anger makes attack seem reasonable, honestly provoked, and righteous in the name of self-defense. Yet is defensiveness a double threat, for it attests to weakness, and sets up a system of defense that cannot work. Now are the weak still further undermined, for there is treachery without, and still a greater treachery within. Born in South Africa, the environment, open spaces, and interpersonal interaction was a primary source of inspiration growing up. For me, Art is one place where desire to express and explore creativity becomes truly tangible. I am now primarily inspired by thoughts of the world we live in, the truths that we believe exist, and how we live these truths. My work is based on human relationships and interactions in the physical and spiritual emotional context, these I question and turn upside down and then comment on it through my art.
