Description
We seem not to notice the elephant in the room, no matter how glaringly obvious he may be. There is a continual shift in spirituality to 'sciencify' God. To make Him 'all that is', energy, light or whatever else that can compartmentalize and symbolize Him to help distance the creator in our so called 'he is in any event absent vendetta'. We find 'ourselves' by 'gurus' pointing the way or sitting in a cave somewhere for years on end meditating in isolation. We are told ALL lies within us and that we alone need to be worked on to unstuck ourselves. He, God is some distant Enterprise who seems to have lost favor. We distance ourselves from. Him for numerous reasons, it may be as it was with me, the hate I had for Him when He did seem absent and ruthless in my life, or my loneliness I felt in this world where separation seemed like a great idea to keep clear of the quagmire of nastiness perceptually seen and felt. Or just pure suffocation of religious bias that made him vengeful and authoritative, which is what I grew up with. This was not the God I wanted or needed - it seemed appropriate to intellectualize the God Concept and this was what I did for years. Of course life changes.
His assumed absence seems so factual that even a painting as this will be too much for some as even a discussion of God without religious bias seems to be so 'last season'. Lord help me if I bring Jesus into the discussion, for some that would seem laughable and even too churchy - Bible bashing my parents used to say. I ask this and only this, how has your life truly been without Him in it?
Ever felt undeniably alone? Even in a relationship which you deem as good and loving? Ever wondered where you fit in, what your function is? How come everyone seems mad and you seem to be the only sane one (or the other way round)? Ever felt valueless, unloved and so not special or too special resulting in exclusion? Choose Again. Could it be that we have a 'false idea' about our own exclusion that maybe our real specialness lies in inclusion and not exclusion? Could it be that our continual drive to put space and isms between God and ourselves places further tension on our claim for separateness, specialness and 'individuality'. Our want to be our own authors ie empowered/alone? Our supposed self authorship keeps us seeking, driving self development, search of an enlightened life, puffery veiled in a positive self esteem and an everlasting hole of love lack.
" “God is not mocked” may arouse anticipation of punishment, but it is really a reassurance. God would be mocked if any of His creations lacked holiness. The creation is whole. The mark of wholeness is holiness, not holes. The Sonship has no holes anywhere." You may say to me that I am naive to the world I perceive, the harsh 'reality' of it and ask where is my God now... [reality - perceptual illusion may be better said] and I may just respond "Is God your author or are you? Do you see yourself as equal to all others or special? Are you daily seeking for answers that seem just on the other side of 'there' or do you know? Have you ever truly tested Him?" We may be tempted to scoff at the idea of God and the part you play in His plan but be rest assured, He is not mocked, you are very much His. There is nothing lacking within your true Self. There is no hole that needs filling. And He is by no means absent "He speaks from nearer than your heart to you.His Voice is closer than your hand."
Note: each line is freehand as symbolizes each individual. Millions seemingly different but all one. There is one hole missing for there has been but One who walked this earth who knew He lacked nothing - He taught only love for that is what He is. Yup, this is where Jesus is part of this conversation.

Oh my Tamantha…I thought this was a digital assist…You are freehand draw-painting these MAGNIFICENT paintings. Your backstory implies a radical spiritual journey that has led you to a Deep and most likely embodied understanding of Humility. Thank you for gracing this contest with both your entries and contest discussion share.
Tamantha Williams replied:
Indeed freehand, no digital assist. Layers and layers of lines in oil paint on canvas.... thank you again!

Dear Tamantha…many thanks to your “behind the scenes” pattern and process relationship of your entries…I am familiar with the idea of pixels comprising a digital image but I would love to hear more about how you 1,000s of LAYERED LINES to create your work? This is ALL new to me…and I might think many others. Would consider it a privilege to be given a deeper glimpse …
