Artist's Description

Ever been up close and personal to a hyena? A powerful beast that is not only physically obvious but energetically too. My love for these seemingly odd sexual creatures has always tweaked my curiosity. How like human beings are they? Scavengers, fighters, female and male seemingly in one. I come across many woman who seem to suffer the same flaw, as we pick and scavenge our way through this world, happy to settle for the scraps off the table. And once we get the scraps we fight for it, happy to settle with what little comes our way never claiming the greatness of who we are as individuals part of a wonderful oneness. Playing little to portray humility and gentleness which only masks a savage want for equality. Wanting both good and bad and getting neither. The desire to be part of a pack but wanting to be special simultaneously. Do we realize that we are everything and more?

Qualifying as a Landscape Architect, I worked within this field in South Africa and Botswana and lectured at the University of Tswana in the Landscape Design module. I moved on to opening my own Graphic...
