Artist's Description

Sometimes when facing the same obstacle and challenge we may have faced before we have the tendency to think, why me, why this again and again, why do I seem to step in the same trap every time? Another layer of the same emotion gets added to our thick skin. I grew up believing love changes EVERYTHING. That love DOES make the world go round. This continued all the way through to my 18th year in this life. That was the year I lost my then partner in a head-on collision. I was with him at the time. Love came to an abrupt end for me in that instant. It was as if someone oversold the idea to me and they did not come up with the goods as I expected. From that time onwards, about 30 years, I seemed to recycle the same love lack, over and over again. Not strange seeing I lost faith in love that the same process and emotions of rejection kept recycling. Tamantha Williams

Born in South Africa, the environment, open spaces, and interpersonal interaction was a primary source of inspiration growing up. For me, Art is one place where desire to express and explore creativity becomes truly tangible. I am now primarily inspired by thoughts of the world we live in, the truths that we believe exist, and how we live these truths. My work is based on human relationships and interactions in the physical and spiritual emotional context, these I question and turn upside down and then comment on it through my art. Qualifying as a Landscape Architect, I worked within this field in South Africa and Botswana and lectured at the University of Tswana in the Landscape Design module.
