Description
No matter the journey we find ourselves on, the situation we find ourselves in, there is a collective journey which celebrates life, not death, strength not weakness, love not fear. As separate ego's we at times feel incredibly alone, regardless if you find yourself in a relationship/s, there is a quiet yearning that bubbles below the surface that there has to be more. For while we have faith in a perceived 'strong ego', puffed up self-esteem, and our fallible bodies, we are invested in 'its laws and its beliefs, its dreams, its hopes, its plans for its salvation, and the cost belief in it entails.' For 'it', the ego, keeps us alone, 'It dreams of punishment and trembles at the figures in its dreams, its "enemies" who seek to murder it before it can ensure its safety by attacking them.' Is this the reality we have bought into? The path we walk, sure and steady, yet we find ourselves shaking in our boots as we take one step in front of the other? Are we so invested in this perceived reality of the insanity of the ego that we choose this over eternal joy? We may 'think' we have joy but do we really? Think of every little grievance we hold in place, from coffee that is too hot, to people driving badly to a shirt that does not fit correctly, there is NO constant sense of joy in this 'itness' we call reality. That is not reality. The ego is not our reality. 'Yet will one lily of forgiveness change the darkness into light; the altar to illusions to the Shrine of Life Itself.' This painting reflects that oneness, that unity which binds us all together, like fine silk it weaves through our minds and connects us to the Shrine of life, true joy, eternity, peace and love. Regardless of who we are, what we strive for, the challenges we face; this journey we face entails forgiveness, acceptance, cooperation and a joining of minds. Here lies the Shrine to Life Itself, not in the dollars earned, the houses bought, the battles one, but rather the interlinked chain of forgiveness that leads to reality, truth and love.

Dear Tamantha…many thanks to your “behind the scenes” pattern and process relationship of your entries…I am familiar with the idea of pixels comprising a digital image but I would love to hear more about how you 1,000s of LAYERED LINES to create your work? This is ALL new to me…and I might think many others. Would consider it a privilege to be given a deeper glimpse …
Tamantha Williams replied:
Only freehand lines, no digital or ruler assist. I like stretching the parameters of my medium, I love oils and so too the sensitivity of a fine line within that medium... so all freehand and only oil on canvas.
