Globally we have been restricted, as if there was not enough isolation already in place, not enough restrictions we entered 2020 with further boundaries, further separation, further isolation. We adhered, each individual a possible threat to another individual, we became a dangerous entity possibly contagious. And in an instant we became extremely aware of the precariousness that holds the world together, the authorities that were NOT in control as if they every were. Now only, it became clear there was little to no control and we handed our supposed control over to those who had no control. We asked 'them' to fix what was self causative, a chain of miscreation which we felt we had no part in. Defense mechanisms went up and isolation set in. Was it only isolation that separated us? We strive every day to protect our space, whether COVID19 was there or not, we set up boundaries based on internal grievances expressed outwards, this was just a literal global experience of what we s...

Born in South Africa, the environment, open spaces, and interpersonal interaction was a primary source of inspiration growing up. For me, Art is one place where desire to express and explore creativity becomes truly tangible. I am now primarily inspired by thoughts of the world we live in, the truths that we believe exist, and how we live these truths. My work is based on human relationships and interactions in the physical and spiritual emotional context, these I question and turn upside down and then comment on it through my art.
