How almost insurmountable the ego can be, how it makes demands in its world and expects ‘us’ and ‘them’ to toe the line in its world and system of thought – truly we are the puppets with only one seemingly dominant master, forgetting our ancient past we serve our ego like a god. Not only that, we populate our world with further God surrogates.

We all have ego, this sculpture represents an attempt of one individual, a being who tries to strip away the egoic elements of its thought system, leaving only the love, kindness, pure intentions, and holy desires that were already present. "We need to forget and remember."

The society and the context in which we live, piles on the witnesses to guilt, blame, anger, retaliation, resentment, unforgiveness, victim-hood as we live our life, UN-egoed starts ascending a steep staircase, removing these layers and self designated masks of distortions and perception...

Tamantha Williams

Born in South Africa, the environment, open spaces, and interpersonal interaction was a primary source of inspiration growing up. For me, Art is one place where desire to express and explore creativity becomes truly tangible. I am now primarily inspired by thoughts of the world we live in, the truths that we believe exist, and how we live these truths. My work is based on human relationships and interactions in the physical and spiritual emotional context, these I question and turn upside down and then comment on it through my art. Qualifying as a Landscape Architect, I worked within this field in South Africa and Botswana and lectured at the University of Tswana in the Landscape Design module.
